Import price guides: US vs. Japan landed cost
We checked five STIGA, Nittaku, and Yasaka products by hand at Amazon.com and Amazon.co.jp on the same day, and added Amazon.co.jp's quoted shipping fee to its item price to get a landed cost -- then compared that to the standard Amazon.com price. Every number below is a manual, dated snapshot, not a live price feed. (Butterfly products are excluded: Amazon.co.jp currently blocks shipping that brand to US addresses.)

What's in each guide
- Cybershape Carbon — STIGA's hexagonal-handle blade costs noticeably less landed from Japan than buying it on Amazon.com -- one of the clearest import wins we found.
- Cybershape Aura — STIGA's hybrid-carbon Cybershape blade follows the same import-savings pattern as Cybershape Carbon, just a bit smaller in percentage terms.
- Tenaly Original — The single biggest gap we found: the exact same Amazon listing (identical ASIN) costs less than half as much on Amazon.co.jp as it does on Amazon.com.
- Acoustic Carbon — A carbon-inner attacking blade where the Japan discount almost entirely disappears once shipping is added in -- a useful "barely worth it" example.
- Mark V — A classic, inexpensive rubber where shipping from Japan doesn't just eat the savings -- it makes the import cost more than buying it in the US.
Methodology
Each guide records what we saw checking Amazon.com and Amazon.co.jp directly in a browser on the date shown, and adds Amazon.co.jp's quoted US shipping fee to its item price to get a landed cost. That total still doesn't include US customs duty, which was not assessed for this snapshot and can apply on top.
